Guwahati: 'Mama' says he would comply. "Mama (maternal uncle) will take care of you soon," Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted on Monday after an eight-year-old child, Darshan Bora, requested the CM's assistance in rehabilitating his unwell father in a video clip.

The state's chief executive is affectionately referred to as 'Mama' in the state. Darshan, a class 2 kid from Dhalpur in the Lakhimpur district, was seen pleading with the chief minister to guarantee that his father gets good medical attention. Munindra Bora, Dharsan's father, has been confined to his bed for over eight years. Bora worked for the state's 108 emergency ambulance service.

"My friends' fathers accompany them to school and places, but my father is unable to do so." I'm terribly upset. Please, Mama, assist me in getting my father out of the state for medical treatment."

The loving "Mama" of everyone has always been the people man when it especially comes to youth and responding to requests his netizens make for him. Earlier this year again, a pair of siblings wrote a letter to the CM asking for help for their fallen teeth.

To the adorable letter, the CM replied. The Assam Chief Minister responded on Twitter, stating he would do all in his power to find the siblings a reputable dentist in Guwahati who could examine their teeth. In the caption, he added, "I'll be pleased to arrange an excellent dentist in Guwahati for you so that we can eat your favourite meal together."

The post has received over 3,000 likes and a number of comments. The CM's action towards the cute message was praised by netizens. Mukhtar Ahmed, the twins' uncle, uploaded the letter on Facebook, bringing it to the attention of netizens. As the letters were delivered to them, he tagged both the Chief Minister and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the post.
